Important Update!
We have now postponed our crossing, and will be
Rowing the Atlantic in December 2013 not 2011
in support of charities 'Help for Heroes', 'Highland Hospice', and 'Rape and Abuse Support'.
2 guys, 1 wee boat v 1 big ocean, who wins?
Andy & Kenny
For us rowing the Atlantic will always be our ultimate challenge,
both of us acknowledging that this will be both mentally and physically challenging. However, aside from achieving our personal goals, our intention has always been to
make the most this opportunity to raise as much money as possible for our three charities. So in light of the current economic climate,
and in order to maxiumize the exposure for our sponsors and charities, we have taken the hard decision to postpone our crossing until December 2013.
Our chosen charities are still Help For Heroes, Highland Hospice and R.A.S., and we still intend to row under the auspices of the Woodvale Challenge.
We are currently taking this opportunity to refit our boat DREAM MAKER, which is a veteran of two previous races, and will also be using the extra time to get ourselves into as peak fitness as possible.
Being located in Inverness, we will continue to train on Loch Ness and the Moray Firth, and on the west coast of Scotland.
We will be doing numerous charity events through the north and north east of Scotland over the next two years.
We would like to take this oppportunity to say a special thank you to all those people who have sponsored us todate.
